Amazing historic sterling silver tea & coffee service set from the illustrious silversmith Frederick Elkington, Chief Partner at Elkington & Co. Matching set with ornate floral fluted design throughout. This 4 piece set include a coffee pot, a teapot, a large sugar, and a large creamer- all of which are extraordinarily heavy gauge solid sterling silver. Each piece has many hallmarks to the bottom including: "Walking Lion"-Sterling Silver, "Anchor"-produced in Birmingham, England, "g" made in 1881, "FE" the personal Hallmark of Frederick Elkington himself, as well as the company hallmark of "Elkington & Co". Coffee measures 14 1/2" H x 8" W (including handle & spout) x 7" D, weighing approximately 1700g. Teapot measures 10" H x 12" W (including handle & spout) x 7" D, weighing approximately 1520g.
