This fine example of LeBoeuf's "Marie Antoinette" is sporting striking hand-painted floral bouquets in between raised gold-gilded scrollwork on a white background, the monogram "MA" to the center in pink and blue flowers respectively. Red "A" beneath a red crown hallmark to bottom, circa 1778. Measures 10-1/2" in diameter. Weighs 1lb.,6oz. "Biography: Hard-paste porcelain factory established in 1776 by André-Marie Leboeuf (c.1755-1810). Registered mark an 'A' in blue changed to an 'A' crowned in red in 1778 when the protection of Marie-Antoinette was given to the factory. In 1797 Leboeuf sold the factory including porcelain to Charles Barthélemy Guy and Marie-Antoine Houzel and it probably continued in production until 1806."
