Exquisitely detailed sculpture from a single piece of wood portraying the story of Garuda's quest to obtain the waters of immortality, the holy amerta, in order to free his enslaved mother from the Nagas. This sculpture depicts Garuda as Wisnu's vehicle, the amerta in hand, fighting the nagas and turtle.
